ORA Good Cat: gearbox bearing replacement for a whining noise

From our workshop
The owner booked an inspection for a whooshing or whining sound entering the cabin. It grew louder with vehicle speed and was particularly noticeable when coasting.
The original post describes a front-end whine at around 40–80 km/h and above, related to speed. These observations helped guide the inspection; similar noises can have other causes and require diagnosis.
For this vehicle, the team removed and dismantled the gearbox, cleaned the assembly, replaced the bearing set and renewed the specified EV gearbox oil. The assembly was lubricated as required.
A road test after the work confirmed that the reported whining noise had gone in this case.
If you hear an unusual noise, send a recording and describe the speed, road conditions and whether it changes under acceleration or coasting.
