ORA Good Cat: A/C compressor failure and system contamination

The owner reported that the air conditioning was not blowing as expected and the compressor was not running. After an initial inspection with us and another check at a service centre, the owner returned to Pro EV Service for the repair. Dismantling revealed internal compressor damage. Fine metal particles had circulated with the compressor oil into the condenser, evaporator and refrigerant lines. Replacing only the compressor would not address the contamination. The work in this case included: • A new model-compatible electric A/C compressor. • A new condenser. • Dashboard removal and replacement of the cabin evaporator assembly. • Flushing of the refrigerant lines to remove contamination.
